A single drawing after two players won Match 5 prizes, the Powerball game has awarded two more, this time to ticket holders in the states of Michigan and Colorado. At the same time, the game’s jackpot remained unclaimed, allowing it to reach $567 million for the Wednesday drawing.
Two Players Win $1M Each
As mentioned, the Monday Powerball drawing was a pretty eventful one, with two more Match 5 wins happening. It saw players compete for a top prize of $545 million with a cash option of $242 million.
The winning white numbers drawn on Monday, July 20, were 2, 9, 44, 53, and 59. The Powerball was 8 and the Power Play multiplier was 2x.
Unfortunately for the players, no one was lucky enough to score the top prize. However, two players matched all five white winning numbers, securing the aforementioned Match 5 prizes. Since neither of the two players had the Power Play feature active, both will take home prizes of $1 million.
Power Play, however, did deliver several bigger prizes at the next tier where winners matched four white numbers and the red Powerball. As a result, five players are eligible to claim prizes of $100,000. At the same time, seven others matched the same numbers, but did not have the Power Play feature active, leaving them with $50,000 instead.
More Seven-Figure Wins Happened Recently
Since no one won the jackpot, it has now reached $567 million for the Wednesday drawing. A hypothetical winner would be able to either claim the annuitized option for the full sum or the one-time payment of $242 million.
The previous Powerball drawing, on the other hand, awarded two more Match 5 prizes. The mouth-watering $1 million sums were secured by players in Arizona and Massachusetts.
Previously, a player in Louisiana took home $2 million after matching five white numbers while having the Power Play feature active.
Earlier still, a player in Virginia won a Match 5 prize of $1 million. This came shortly after a similar win happened in New Jersey.
The Powerball jackpot has been won five times in 2026 so far.
