Powerball Jackpot Reaches $416M as Saturday Drawing Elects No Winner

The Powerball jackpot has continued to grow after no one succeeded in matching all of the six winning numbers and claim the nine-figure prize. Players will get another shot at the mouth-watering sum later today.

The Top Prize Remained Unconquered

The Saturday drawing had the jackpot at $403 million with a lump sum option of $180.7 million. Despite its allure, the game’s top prize held strong as no one succeeded in matching all six winning numbers required to win it.

For reference, the winning white numbers for the July 4 drawing were 17, 38, 46, 50, and 69. The Powerball was 20 and the Power Play multiplier was 2x.

In addition to no one winning the top prize, there were no Match 5 winners either. However, the Saturday drawing made up for that with seven winners of prizes of $100,000. The prizes were won by players who matched four white numbers and the Powerball and also had the Power Play feature active.

At the same time, nine other players won $50,000 each due to matching four white numbers and the Powerball without having Power Play active.

With two months since the last Powerball jackpot was won, the prize could soon reach the half-a-billion-dollars milestone. With the Monday drawing just around the corner, players are about to compete for a jackpot of $416 million with a cash option of $186.6 million.

In other news, a player in California recently secured a Powerball Match 5 prize. This came less than a month after two other players in the same state won similar prizes.

Powerball to Launch in the UK

In the meantime, Powerball is bracing for its historic launch in the UK. The launch of Powerball game in the European country was confirmed by lottery operator Allwyn earlier this year as a part of a broader lottery overhaul.

UK Powerball tickets will cost GBP 4 per line. In addition to that, the UK version will have an extra prize tier at the lower levels, awarding GBP 8 prizes to anyone who matches 2 white numbers.

Powerball will launch in the UK on July 21, ensuring even more excitement for fans of the game.
