Pragmatic Play exits sportsbook and bingo in strategic shift

Pragmatic Play has made the decision to discontinue its sportsbook and bingo operations. This decision comes as part of a review of its operations which is intended to focus resources on their three primary product lines.

The company will now put more emphasis on its growing slot and live casino segment.

Pragmatic Play entered the bingo business in 2018 and launched its sportsbook in 2022; however, it has decided to end both businesses after evaluating its long-term goals.

Pragmatic Play has previously discussed its intention to continue expanding into live casinos through additional studios and operations in regulated jurisdictions.

A Pragmatic Play spokesperson said:

Following a strategic review, we have made the decision to focus on our core market-leading verticals – in particular, slots, live casino, crash and RNG. These areas continue to demonstrate strong performance and represent the company’s primary long-term strategic focus. As a result, Pragmatic Play will no longer offer Bingo and Sportsbook products, following a transition period during which we will support our partners as they migrate to alternative platforms. We are working closely with partners to support this transition.

In October 2025, Pragmatic Play opened a studio in Bogota, Colombia, thus enhancing its presence in the live gaming market. The company also anticipates continued investments in product innovation, as well as growth through the use of localized products and the development of regulated markets.

In particular, Latin America and other regulated jurisdictions are continuing to be a key strategic market for Pragmatic Play as it focuses on strengthening its position in the core verticals.
