The news about slot players securing more worthwhile jackpots continues to trickle in, with the latest such headline coming from the Thunder Valley Casino Resort, where a visitor to the Lincoln property managed to turn a fairly small wager into a respectable payout.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort Sees Player Walk Away with $221K+
The Thunder Valley Casino Resort, located at 1200 Athens Avenue in Lincoln, near Sacramento, offers more than 3,500 slot machines and 85 table games.
The player, who won on Wednesday, August 12, on the same day that an Illinois player scooped the billion-dollar Powerball jackpot, had placed a $10 bet on a Buffalo Link slot machine when good fortune struck, and the machine paid out a $221,176 jackpot.
“Talk about a lunch worth remembering. Turning a $10 bet into $221,176 is certainly one way to make your Wednesday a little more exciting,” said Thunder Valley Casino Resort chief executive officer Dawn Clayton, who was excited to welcome the latest winner.
This is hardly the whole story, however, as there have been multiple winners at the property, too. In fact, the property has awarded more than 251,000 jackpots over the past year, as per its own press statement shared with the media, or around 700 jackpots every day.
In July, two separate players won huge jackpots at the property. One player ended up scooping up $604,597 off a slot machine, while another player still turned their Face Up Pai Gow play into a $1,131,400 payout.
