Trump Stock Sales Reveal Deals Involving Caesars and Other Gaming Stocks

President Donald Trump‘s financial managers sold stock in a number of gaming and Las Vegas-related companies in July, his latest financial disclosure showed.

Trump Filing Shows Caesars Stock Sale Amid Fertitta Deal

The trades were part of a much larger trading program. The filing lists 1,156 transactions during the month, including buys and sells of various stocks, exchange-traded funds and other securities. The value of disclosed equity transactions was between $79 million and $270 million

A trade in gaming-related securities was a sale of Caesars Entertainment stock on July 29. The transaction was in the $1,001-$15,000 reporting range.

The disclosure does not include a reason for the reduced position. However, it comes at a time when Caesars is getting ready for its planned buyout by Fertitta Entertainment

Fertitta Entertainment agreed to buy Caesars in May in a deal worth $17.6 billion, including $11.9 billion of debt. If the deal closes, Caesars shareholders are set to receive $31 in cash for each share.

The buyer is controlled by billionaire Tilman Fertitta, the US ambassador to Italy and San Marino. Trump’s filing gives no hint that the Caesars transaction was connected to the proposed takeover or Fertitta’s government role.

Trump Reports Rush Street, VICI and Sphere Stock Sales

Trump’s managers also sold shares of Rush Street Interactive (RSI), on July 29. The filing estimates the transaction to be between $15,001 and $50,000.

The sale came after RSI reported second-quarter results and raised its 2026 financial outlook. The company has also been exploring the prediction markets space. In June, RSI also filed for a designation as a contract market license, which would allow the company to offer event-based contracts should it pursue that business.

VICI Properties was also involved in another Trump gaming deal. The filing shows a sale between $1,001 and $15,000 on July 29. VICI owns some of the largest casino properties and is one of the largest owners of gaming real estate in the United States.

The filing also showed a sale of Sphere Entertainment shares on July 8. That transaction was valued at $15,001 – $50,000.

The Las Vegas Sphere, which opened in 2023, is run by Sphere Entertainment. The company also announced plans for a smaller venue at National Harbor in Maryland. The proposed venue would seat about 6,000 people, compared to about 18,000 at the Las Vegas location.

The filing does not explain particular investment choices. It logs transactions in value bands rather than exact amounts.

The July activity, then, offers a snapshot of Trump’s alleged investment activity, but does not shed light on the reasoning behind the individual sales. The disclosure was filed on OGE Form 278-T, the periodic transaction report used for applicable executive branch financial disclosures.
