Turning Stone Resort Casino Completes Milestone Expansion Project

Located along one of Upstate New York’s busiest tourism corridors, Turning Stone Resort Casino has retained its position as one of the state’s premier casino resort destinations. Several recent additions to the venue have elevated it even more, offering Las Vegas-style casino gaming and world-class amenities to all visitors. This new scale should help the property remain relevant despite rising competition.

Guests Have Many Exciting New Options

Turning Stone Resort Casino recently announced the completion of its most anticipated project. The Crescent, a 258-room hotel, now proudly towers over the property, boasting a modern, polished look that prioritizes comfort over spectacle. Guests can easily access the resort’s other amenities and entertainment options, such as spas, restaurants, and gaming.

The Pantry, a new grab-and-go café, is located on the first floor of the new building. The space also houses Oneida Sky, a shop where guests can purchase jewelry, art, and souvenirs created by members of the Oneida Indian Nation. Visitors and team members can visit Rome Health Convenient Care at Turning Stone, a professional medical center also located in The Crescent.

Another highlight of the new development is undoubtedly Salt. This fine-dining restaurant, located on the entire seventh floor of The Crescent, boasts several unique features. Guests can dine on two expansive terraces offering a breathtaking view of the Mohawk Valley or enjoy four private dining rooms with unique options. The menu mixes high-end staples with regional touches, delivering a breathtaking experience.

Turning Stone Maintains Its Leadership Position

The Crescent opened in a grand ceremony, celebrating the newest advancement for Upstate New York’s luxury hospitality sector. The $400 million project transforms Turning Stone into one of the region’s leading meetings and conventions destinations while retaining its original appeal. Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation representative and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises, was confident that the resort now rivaled many of the world’s finest leisure destinations.

This project should also significantly benefit the local economy. Its one-time economic impact was estimated at over $600 million. Roughly 3,500 construction and related services jobs benefited from the project, while the completed expansion now provides hundreds of workplaces. The increased visitor flow should also bolster the local economy, creating many new opportunities.

Turning Stone Enterprises, the company that oversees the resort and several other properties, has become one of the region’s leading employers with a workforce that now numbers in the thousands. Its portfolio has evolved past just gaming and now includes hospitality, restaurants, golf, and entertainment. The Crescent is a perfect example of how the business has evolved, keeping up with innovation without abandoning its identity.
