White didn’t wait long to see what the ticket had brought him, scratching the film off and realizing that he had just done it – he had just won the six-figure payout, allowing him to take some deserved leisure time.
The odds of this happening are 1 in 1,020,000, given that the odds of winning any other prize from the game are set at 1 in 4.16.

White’s win feels special another way as well. The Virginia Lottery’s 5 Times Lucky game has a total of five top prizes worth $100,000, and White’s is actually the first one to have been claimed in the state.
