Wazdan Secures Balkan Entry with MeridianBet Deal

Latest News

Wazdan, the fast-growing online casino games developer and supplier, has entered a new region through a partnership with a leading operator as part of its international expansion strategy.

The company announced on Wednesday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Malta-licensed online gambling operator MeridianBet to provide it with access to its content library.

This recent deal will see leading Wazdan-produced titles such as latest Hold the Jackpot release Power of Gods: Hades as well as established player-favorites Larry the Leprechaun and 9 Lions go live with MeridianBet.

As mentioned above, the operator is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. It operates in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia. Wazdan’s partnership with MeridianBet paves the way for the major provider to enter the Balkans for the first time.

As part of its agreement with the operator, Wazdan will also provide its partner with access to its collection of customizable features, including Volatility Levels, Ultra Fast and Ultra Lite Modes, Big Screen Mode, and the Buy Feature.

The Balkans is a fast-growing market as most of the countries in the region have updated their regulatory frameworks to provide operators and suppliers with the opportunity to offer their products and services in a regulated environment.

Delighted to Make First Appearance in Balkan Market

Of their latest announcement, Radka Bacheva, Head of Sales and Business Development for Balkan and South East Europe at Wazdan, said that they are delighted to secure their debut in the Balkan market with MeridianBet.

She went on that their new partner is an “operator with an impressive reach across three major territories” and that it will give them “a real boost as we look to make a statement in this region.”

MeridianBet Head of Online Casino Milan Djurmez said that Wazdan’s online slot content “brings immersive, engaging products to players” and that they are very happy to have agreed this new deal.

He added that with Wazdan’s suite of customizable options for each of its games, MeridianBet’s players will “have a huge range of products available at their fingertips” and that they are eager to see how customers receive the studio’s hit titles.

The Balkans is the latest important territory Wazdan has recently secured its entry into. Earlier this month, the company announced that it has obtained a Manufacturer A1 Suitability license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission that enabled it to provide its products in Greece’s recently reorganized iGaming market.

Late last month, the iGaming content supplier ventured into Belarus’ regulated space with the launch of its content with locally licensed operator Grand Casino and its digital brand GG.by.
