The latest jackpot story comes from a Club Sycuan player who managed to flip her seemingly small wager – an $8 bet on a dragon-themed slot machine – into a seven-figure payout she said she deserved.
Santa Barbara resident Michelle K, who was happy to be identified by the Sycuan Casino Resort, was playing the Dancing Drums Dragon by Light & Wonder on Saturday when good fortune struck.
“I still can’t believe I won, but I deserve this,” Michelle K told the casino after she won a $1,278,830 jackpot. As to the Sycuan Casino Resort, general manager Rob Cinelli who said that the property was genuinely happy to see the woman win.
“It’s truly special to see our guests experience moments like this where a single spin can change someone’s life in an instant,” Cinelli added.
Michelle K’s jackpot is also the largest won at the property so far in 2026 after six-figure jackpots dropped in January and February, and more than 68 million won by visitors this year alone.
