Xpoint’s New Pattern-Analysis Engine Tackles Casino Bonus Abuse

Geolocation specialist Xpoint has unveiled a new pattern-analysis engine that will allow its clients to identify gaming-related fraud. The new solution will be initially available to the company’s partners in North America.

On July 6, 2026, Xpoint confirmed the launch of its proprietary pattern-analysis engine. The new tool seeks to address some of the shortcomings of single-check geolocation tools, enhancing clients’ ability to identify organized fraud.

The new engine is focused on spotting and flagging coordinated fraud. To that end, it leverages historical location data to identify groups of players who cycle the same devices, accounts, and locations to claim welcome bonuses and abuse limited promotions. As a result, the new solution can identify fraud that real-time, per-login checks would usually miss.

Xpoint elaborated that conventional geolocation checks evaluate each login on its own, thus missing some key patterns. On the contrary, the new tool uses historical data and therefore the capability to identify groups of users who regularly appear together and whose activities appear to be tied to organized fraud.

Xpoint Believes Bonus Abuse Is a Serious Issue

Xpoint cited the result of a recent study, which highlighted bonus abuse as the top form of fraud in North America. Additionally, the research found out that a single fraud network was behind tens of thousands of fraudulent events. Separate studies and reports elaborated that fraudsters are becoming more organized, akin to traditional tech companies.

Xpoint’s CEO, Manu Gambhir, commented on the matter, acknowledging that organized fraud groups are becoming more and more coordinated, which is why operators must equip themselves with the right tools to prevent their platforms from being exploited by fraudsters.

Our pattern-analysis engine examines historical data to uncover unusual patterns an operator needs to be aware of, without in any way adding friction to the player journey.

Xpoint clarified that the new engine is a part of the company’s broader geolocation compliance stack. Its launch comes shortly after Xpoint completed a Bettor Capital-led funding round. While the sum the round raised remained undisclosed, Xpoint’s latest launch aligns with its statement that the money would allow it to accelerate its research and development roadmap.
