Yggdrasil has launched Vikings Go to Hollywood, a new game that continues one of the provider’s top franchises. Whereas the titular Vikings have previously gone to Valhalla, Egypt, and even Hell, the latest entry in this series will see them visit the modern age.

The Vikings Are Facing a Challenge of a Different Kind
Yggdrasil’s first “Vikings Go to” game debuted 11 years ago. Since then, the titular characters have faced a variety of challenges and have even battled the forces of Hell itself. Now, however, the familiar cast is facing a challenge of a different kind as the four heroes have found themselves under the spotlight in Hollywood.
The new game presents the four Vikings in sleek costumes that mix Nordic motifs with modern aesthetics. One of the previous games in the series, Vikings Go to Vegas, featured costumes with similar sensibilities. This time, however, Yggdrasil has taken things up a notch, presenting the most glamorous versions of the characters yet. With that in mind, it is hardly surprising that the symbols in the game are all about the Vikings.
Vikings Go to Hollywood features the WildFight and Rushing Wilds features, which ensure thrilling experiences. The proprietary WildFight mechanic gives selected high-paying symbols the chance to transform into Wilds, creating additional winning opportunities.
The Rushing Wilds feature, on the other hand, is unique to the Free Spins mode. This mechanic can grant multipliers of up to 5x to existing Wilds, enabling some incredible payouts.
The Berzerk Rage collection mechanic, on the other hand, adds a sense of progress as it saves players’ points between sessions, allowing them to pick up exactly where they left off. Once the Rage bar is filled, Berzerk mode kicks off, awarding Free Spins and transforming characters into Wilds whenever they take part in a WildFight.
The New Game Mixes the Ancient with the Modern
Since the Vikings franchise’s launch 11 years ago, it has exploded in popularity. This newest entry is the ninth title in the series. According to Michal Szafran, junior game producer at Yggdrasil, the development team is always careful when working on new entries to beloved franchises, such as this one. He added that bringing something new to the table, while keeping the original spirit of the Vikings series, was a challenge in itself.
