Day 47 of the 2026 World Series of Poker has come to a close at Paris and Horseshoe with two bracelets awarded.
The first of these bracelets was the new-this-year Event #91: $1,500 Pick Your PLO. Sergio Benso won this tourney, picking his way through a a field of opponents and a menu of pot-limit Omaha variants to earn $196,431 and his first gold bracelet.
The other bracelet event was the huge final table of Event #90: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em which saw Daniel Negreanu eliminated in eighth place.
It was an incredible final table that also saw Bryn Kenney come third, but Jamie Dwan won the event for a massive $2,276,691 payday.
Even with all this high roller action, the main story of the day was the Main Event. Day 6 of the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship began with a brutal start for one player, continued with a controversial to turn a one chip call into a 15 minute decision, and ended with a reshuffling of the rankings once the end of day chips were tallied up.
Elsewhere at the series, big names were building big stacks like Kristen Foxen, who was amassing a top five chip count in the $10,000 6-Handed NLH event.

Kristen Foxen With Top Five Bag In $10k 6-Max
Kristen Foxen is right near the top of the leaderboard after Day 1 of Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em in which she is currently chasing her seventh bracelet.
Although 357 players entered the event, the field is now down to 130 survivors.
Kenzo Ishida has the biggest stack of the day with 479,500 in chips. Fahredin Mustafov (477,000) and Loic Debregeas (475,000) are in second and third, respectively. After those three, only Armin Rezaei (426,000) in fourth has more chips than Foxen.
Other notable bags include Faraz Jaka (283,000), Adrian Mateos (215,000),Erik Seidel (180,000), Paulina Loeliger (121,500), and Foxen’s husband Alex (82,000).
Football player Neymar entered the event, but busted during the day’s action.
The survivors will be back at 1:00 p.m. with blinds of 1,000/2,500 and a 2,500 big blind ante.
Late registration will be open until the end of level 12.

Alex Livingston Heads Up Killer T.O.R.S.E. Field
Event #92: $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. was down to a score of players as Day 2 of the event ended.
Among the 20 survivors Alex Livingston was in the lead with 1,840,000 in chips. But his first-place position is a tenuous one. Qinghai Pan is right behind him with 1,810,000 in second place.
After that, there’s a little breathing room between Pan and Jesse Lonis in third place with 1,570,000.
Further down the counts, the event continues to teem with sharks. There is David Bach (1,395,000), the winner of the 2024 $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. Gary Bolden (1,105,000), Nick Guagenti (1,030,000), Player of the Year contender Naoya Kihara (900,000), and online poker legend Viktor Blom (800,000).
They will all be back for Day 3, which begins at 1:00 p.m. and will play down to a victor.

Opening Day For The Closer
Dragos-Florin Anton has taken the chip lead after Day 1a of Event #93: $1,500 The Closer No Limit Hold’em.
It was a close run thing with Anton bagging 1,185,000 while Daewoong Song bagged 1,180,000 for the second biggest stack.
Andrew Kelsall took third with a bag of 1,100,000 in chips.
Some other notables players who will be returning for Day 2 are Caitlin Comeskey (475,000), Lara Eisenberg (435,000), Mike Leah (350,000), Daniel Smiljkovic (270,000), and Joshua Reichard (125,000).
Day 2 will be held on Monday, July 13. Before then, Day 1b gets underway at midday on Sunday.

Juanda Bags On Day 2 of Mid-Stakes Championship
OG poker star John Juanda is making a deep run in Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship. Day 2 of the event concluded with the once 3,668-strong field down to just 167 players.
Juanda bagged a stack of 320,000, putting him near the bottom of the day’s rankings.
The event has a prize pool of $9,793,560 of which $1,159,182 has been earmarked for first. At the moment, Mitchell Hynam is closest to that prize with 2,560,000 in chips.
Behind him is Alan Ferraro with 2,030,000 and Adedapo Ajayi with 2,005,000.
Other players to watch on Day 3 include Niall Farrell (1,870,000), Lou Garza (1,690,000),Matt Affleck (1,000,000), and Nicholas Palma (1,585,000).
Action resumes at midday with blinds at 100,000/200,000 with a 200,000 ante.

Barbara Enright Bags In Final Day 1 Flight of Gladiator
Poker legend Barbara Enright bagged a stack of 560,000 at the end of Day 1d of Event #88: $300 Gladiators of Poker.
She was one of 4,267 entries to the day’s flight and remains one of the day’s 147 survivors. When combined with the previous three Day 1s, this bring the Gladiator to 11,185 entries total, making the prize pool $2,751,510.
Marcos Da Silva holds the chip lead for Day 1 with 3,030,000, but he sits in third place overall, according to the WSOPLive App.
The Day 1d survivors will bring the Day 2 field up to 381 survivors when it restarts at 11:00 a.m. local time.

WSOP Schedule: Sunday, July 12
July 12 brings us into the 48th day and the final week of the 2026 WSOP, which is scheduled to wrap up on Wednesday, July 15.
The main event of the day will be, appropriately, the Main Event.
Event #82: $10,000 WSOP Main Event NLH World Championship moves into Day 7 with 62 players remaining, including Todd Brunson, who has bagged a top ten stack.
Event #88: $300 Gladiators of Poker will see the four Day 1 flights combine for Day 2 at 11:00 a.m. Jolnar Teliani from Canada leads the field with 3,265,000 in chips.
Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship will be back. With 167 players still in the action, there is likely to be a Day 4. This event restarts at midday.
Kristen Foxen and the rest of the field of Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em will be back at 1:00 p.m. to play another 10 levels of poker.
The stacked field of Event #92: $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. will be back to start playing down from 20 to a winner at 1:00 p.m.
Event #93: $1,500 The Closer No Limit Hold’em has kicked off. Timed to end with the Main Event, there will be another Day 1 flight tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. local time.
There will also be two new events starting on Day 48 of the WSOP. They will be Day 1a of Event #95: $500 Summer Saver No-Limit Hold’em at midday and a just plain Day 1 of Event #96: $3,000 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha at 1:00 p.m.
