Ari Engel Wins Championship Event at WPT Series in Cambodia

Ari Engel

Ari Engel, a tournament poker legend, has added yet another win to his resume.

The Canadian poker pro took down the $1,300 World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia Championship, a No-Limit Hold’em tournament that attracted 391 entrants and had a $500,000 prize pool. Engel, one of the all-time WSOP Circuit greats, won a flip following a chop with Adi Agarwal to claim the title and the $91,444 prize for first place.

Final Table Results

Place Player Prize
1 Ari Engel $91,444
2 Adi Agarwal $81,610
3 Michael Oneill $43,811
4 Hendrik Uibo $32,919
5 Rindra Norodom $25,173
6 Mangalam Seksaria $20,332

Engel Does it Again

After Michael Oneill busted in third place for $43,811, Engel and Agarwal agreed to chop it up. They ran one flip to determine who would take home the trophy, and that went to Engel.

The final table also included Mangalam Seksaria (sixth place for $20,332), Rindra Norodom (fifth place for $25,173), and Hendrik Uibo (fourth place for $32,919). Engel, with this victory, moves just over $10.1 million in The Hendon Mob live tournament cashes.

He’s one of the best ever at the WSOP Circuit with 20 rings, trailing only Maurice Hawkins, who has 26 and is running away with the lead. Engel isn’t just a crusher on the Circuit, however. He’s done plenty of damage in World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet events, having racked up four bracelets during his brilliant poker career.

Engel’s win in Cambodia is his second tournament victory in 2026. His first came in February, a low-stakes victory at The Festival in Bratislava. He racked up 16 cashes this summer in Las Vegas at the WSOP, and now he’s added a big World Poker Tour win.
