A total of 49 players returned for Day 2 of Event #12: $600 No Limit Holdem Closer at theWorld Series of Poker Circuit Playground. The play was fast and loud with a fairly fast structure and a group of players that came to battle. When the final chip fell, it was Christopher Taylor who held up the ring, collected the lion’s share of the prize pool, and exited as a WSOPC Champion.
It always takes skill and a little luck to make it all the way to the top of the mountain in a poker tournament. Today, Taylor of Newfoundland is $26,190 richer after running hot at exactly the right time during the end of the final table. He defeated a field of 320 players and is a new WSOPC champion.

Final Table Action
The official final table kicked off with Isabelle Tremblay falling in ninth place when her king-jack could not improve against the queens of Louis Pierre Daniel Collette. Shortly after that, the chip leader to start the day, Charles-Eric Benoit was eliminated in eighth place. Ghislain Pigeon got all his chips in next but would fall to Anthony Potis in seventh place when his jack-seven could not improve against the ace-jack of Potis.
Things continued to move fast and the Nicolas Duteau was eliminated in sixth place just a few hands later when he was cooled off with ace-king against the kings of Louis Pierre Daniel Collette.
Play would then slow down considerably at five-handed play. The jams continued to get through and each player seemed to be dead set on not giving up the edge. Eventually Anthony Potis would fall in fifth when he moved in off a short stack and ran into the kings of Louis Pierre Daniel Collette.

The final four players then paused the clock and came to an agreement on an ICM chop that saw Deven Lane get the largest chop value. The next players to fall was Louis Pierre Daniel Collette in fourth when his ace-five lost to the flopped pair of kings from Lane. Christopher Taylors run-good would then begin. He took a few medium-sized pots off Deven Lane and then hit him with a cold deck for a chip lead pot when his King-jack suited hit a flush against the queens of Lane.
Lane got the final chips in the middle and was called by Taylor. His two pair would be no good against the set of Taylor and Lane fell in third. Then, on the very first hand of heads up play, Taylor would jam the button and get called by his heads up partner, Zacharie Desautels, who fell in second.
The only thing left to do was award Christopher Taylor the ring and crown him the newest World Series of Poker Circuit Champion.
