Daniel Negreanu to Make Hustler Casino Live Debut on August 28

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu will make his Hustler Casino Live debut on Friday, August 28, joining the popular livestream for a $100/$200 cash game.

In an announcement on X, HCL unveiled the eight-time WSOP bracelet winner as part of next Friday’s lineup, writing, “That’s right – poker legend & GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu is finally coming to HCL.”

The announcement was accompanied by an AI-generated video featuring HCL regulars serenading the news with a soul-funk melody celebrating the Canadian’s “Big D Energy coming to HCL.”

Kid Poker shared the video on his own X account, writing, “This video is sooooo ridiculous I had to share.”

While the full lineup is yet to be announced, HCL has confirmed the game will run at $100/$200 stakes with a $50,000 minimum buy-in. The remaining players will be revealed in due course.

A Rare Recent Outing in the Cash Streets For DNegs

Although Negreanu was once one of the most recognizable and popular regulars on High Stakes Poker, it has been a long time since he ventured into the cash-game streets.

These days, Negreanu is primarily a tournament player, rarely straying far from Las Vegas to compete on the WSOP and PokerGO Tour circuits. The main exception being poker’s annual Christmas-time pilgrimage to WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas.

However, with Negreanu signed to GGPoker as its most high-profile ambassador, and GGPoker co-owning Hustler Casino Live, the LA-based livestream has managed to lure the eight-time bracelet winner back to televised cash games.

One intriguing subplot could emerge if HCL regular Nik Airball takes a seat, after the self-proclaimed “King of LA” declared that “Tourney players all suck, this is free money if I ever seen it!” ahead of a February clash with Kristen Foxen on the show.

Foxen ultimately had the last laugh, booking a $17,100 profit while Airball finished the $399,900 session in the red. Now, Airball could get another chance to test his theory against one of the most successful tournament players in poker history.

Business as Usual in September

WSOP Bracelet 2026

Whether Negreanu’s return to the cash-game felt re-sparks his love for the format he once regularly played remains to be seen, but it will be business as usual come September, when he plans to stream the final 10 days of the ongoing 2026 World Series of Poker Online on GGPoker.

Running from August 16 through September 29, the series features a $25 million guaranteed Main Event, with 33 bracelets up for grabs.

And Negreanu has already given fans a glimpse of his schedule, revealing that he plans to kick off his streams with the $10,000 PLO event, adding, “PLO is my jam” in a post on X.
