The GJ’s Lunar New Year schedule features several formats to put PokerStars players to the ultimate test. The festival kicks of at 5:00 p.m. GMT on February 1 with the Year o the Rabbit tournament. This is a $2.20 buy-in $2,000 guaranteed 8-Game event, which is perfect for the mixed game aficionados among you.
Other formats include Pot-Limit Omaha, PLO8, turbo and hyper-turbo No-Limit Hold’em events, a timed tournament with a 60-minute limit, and even a heads-up zoom tournament where the entire prize pool is awarded via bounties.
The piece de resistance is the Year of the Tiger tournament at 4:00 p.m. on February 6, otherwise known as the Main Event. Players sit down with 25,000 chips and play to a ten-minute clock where the blinds start at 100/200/25a. Up to three re-entries are permitted in the Main Event but they must be purchased by the end of the 12th level.
Main Event satellites from a mere $0.55 are available right now if you wish to try win your way into the $20,000 guaranteed Main Event.
