Poker News

Ravid Garbi and Niklas Astedt both walked away with more than $530,000 after chopping a super high roller event online at GGPoker. The talented duo struck a deal when heads-up in the $25,500 Sunday Million SHR tournament, which resulted in them sharing more than $1 million of the $2,600,000 prize pool.

A field of 104 entries meant the tournament paid out 15 places. Mikita Badziakouski was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble. Superstars including Guillaume Nolet, Andras Nemeth, Juan Dominguez, and final table bubble boy Elio Fox secured a slice of the prize pool.

Benjamin Rolle was the final table’s first casualty. Rolle’s ninth-place exit came with a $65,102 payout. Marius Gierse then fell in eighth for $86,205, which was the last prize not to weigh in at six figures.

Dozens of elite grinders finished inside the money places but fell short of the seven-handed final table. Alexander “xBGx” Fitasov and Thomas Hueber found their time at the final table short-lived. Joao Vieira and Ukrainian Andriy Lyubovetskiy joined the ong list of busted names before Dario Sammartino bowed out in third, a finish worth $82,729 with bounties includes.
