Wai Kiat Lee continued his remarkable run of recent form on the Triton tour as he took down the $40K NLH Mystery Bounty here at the Super High Roller Series Jeju II, banking $619,000 and eight bounty envelopes.
The Malaysian star, who captured his fourth Triton title and second of 2026, defeated Jamil Wakil heads-up, overturning a sizeable deficit against the Canadian in a rollercoaster battle.
With fourteen bounty envelopes between them, the top two are guaranteed to add to their already combined million-dollar-plus payday, with everything from a $40,000 to $400,000 pull possible at Friday’s bounty ceremony.
Lee, who was cheered on by a packed rail at Les A Casino, told Triton following his victory the feeeling was “Overwhelming,” adding “To be fair, I was pretty lucky most of the time. I got all the hands and the board was running over me. I just got lucky.”
“Without Triton, nobody would know me,” Lee said. “I started my career at Triton, and Mr. Paul [Phua] helped me a lot in my career. I appreciate Triton, Triton is like my home…Having my rail there, you try harder, you don’t want to make them down. You try harder to win it.”
However, he didn’t take long to celebrate his victory, immediately late registering for the $50,000 NLH 8-Handed taking place across from the feature stage in true grinder fashion.

Lee’s Triple KO Headlines Early Day Action
Thirty-three players returned for the final day, with Kayhan Mokri leading the way ahead of Alex Anton and Wakil.
The first notable action of the day saw Christoph Vogelsang, who won the $100K Main Event at this very stop last year, become the unfortunate bubble boy after running pocket tens into queens.
More eliminations followed, with Jean-Noel Thorel and Bernhard Binder joining Batuhan Yildiz and Jesse Lonis as players who made it to the envelope ceremony, the latter two just short of the money, before Lee set the final table in remarkable fashion.
In an all-in preflop showdown, Seth Davies, Phil Ivey and Samuel Mullur fell victim as Lee pulled off a remarkable triple knockout, earning three bounty envelopes in the process. He must have thought he was dreaming after he woke up with pocket aces in the big blind and had all three opponents dominated by the turn. Meanwhile, the eliminated trio did at least have the consolation of seven bounty envelopes between them, along with payouts ranging from $52,000 to $62,000.
That left the Malaysian crusher, who has over $23 million in live earnings on the Triton tour alone, with more than half the chips in play heading to a final table that also featured David Coleman, Punnat Punsri, and Mokri.

Wakil Takes Command at the FT
The eight-handed final table got off to a fast start as Lee quickly eliminated Coleman, ace-six over ace-four, and claimed his bounty. It’s yet another deep run for Coleman in Jeju this series, but a really deep run and a second title continue to elude him.
With the bounty dynamics in play, players were willing to gamble, and Mokri’s pocket sixes held in a monster three-way pot against Punsri and Lee to score another triple. Joe Hindry was eliminated in seventh shortly afterwards, with his ace-jack dominated by Wakil’s ace-king. The Brit banks $105,000 for yet another deep run and another final table, capping what is shaping up to be an exceptional trip to South Korea.
Start-of-day chip leader Mokri followed in sixth. After being reduced to just a few blinds, he got it in good against Wakil but came out on the wrong side of the runout. Sirzat Hissou followed shortly afterwards in similar fashion, as Lee was willing to get his six-three offsuit in preflop for a bounty envelope before rivering a straight to best king-jack and send the German to the payout desk.
If the triple knockout on the final table bubble was the main course, then the double knockout that followed for third and fourth was a lovely digestif. This time it came at the hands of Wakil, who, like Lee, captured his sixth bounty envelope after flopping two pair against Punsri and Anton. The German, who got it in with ace-king against Wakil’s king-jack, may consider himself a little unlucky, as he had to settle for fourth and no envelopes.
For Punsri, making final tables of Triton events seems almost second nature, and while the Thai champion may have to wait for title number seven, he will at least return to collect a bounty envelope.
Lee Gets It Done After Rollercoaster Heads-Up
It was Lee versus Wakil heads-up, then, the undoubted star of the day’s action against one of the start-of-day chip leaders. Wakil held a big lead of more than 4:1 as he looked to join the glut of players winning maiden Triton titles at this Super High Roller Series in Jeju.
However, Lee found some early success, winning a 36-big-blind pot with pocket sixes to bring the contest almost level, and when his 8♠4♥ paired on the turn shortly afterwards, he edged ahead for the first time.
From there, the pendulum swung back and forth for a long time, with both players taking their turns in the lead but neither able to build a decisive advantage. Eventually, Lee nosed his way to the front, turning a flush to move 2:1 clear, before in the final hand his jack-ten struck the terminal blow to Wakil’s ace-six after flopping the ten.
Lee would capture his fourth Triton title and another $619,000 on the tour, even before his bounty haul is revealed on Friday.
