Poker News

The $1,050 buy-in edition of the PokerStars Bounty Builder Series No-Limit Hold’em Main Event attracted 1,232 entrants who fought it out over the $1,250,000 prize pool. At the end of two action-packed days, it was “Mr.LuckyMan88” of Argentina who had all 123.2 million chips in front of them. The Argentinian turned their $1,050 investment into a most impressive $154,369.

The top 175 finishers won a share of the regular prize pool, and there were some big names among them. Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson, Daniel “SmilleThHero” Smiljkovic, Team PokerStars’ Lex “L. Veldhuis” Veldhuis, soccer ace Neymar “Neymar-jr” Jr, and Canada’s “Stumpfed” all padded their bankrolls but fell short of the nine-handed final table.

Two well-known grinders crashed out in fifth and fourth place. Jeiko “JEIK0” Palma of Panama bowed out in fifth for $35,676, and Ukraine’s Vladyslav “DEDTAWIWASA” Korbut capitulated in fourth for $36,614. Korbut worked his way to fourth place despite only eliminating one opponent en route.

Heads-up was reached when Viktor “gimley14” Mechev of Bulgaria ran out of steam. Third place came with $71,745 reasons to be happy with his performance. Mechev’s exit left “Mr.LuckyMan88” and “RoBnbly Par9” in a one-on-one battle for what was a huge final bounty payout.

The heads-up duo locked in over $85,300, but both had busted several foes before reaching the one-on-one stage. Eventually, “RoBnbly Par9” fell in second place for a combined score weighing in at $108,693, leaving “Mr.LuckyMan88” to bask in the glory of becoming a Bounty Builder Series champion, and wonder how they will spend their $154,369 prize money.

“flowerloveeee” is the $109 Bounty Builder Series Main Event Champion

A huge crowd of 12,490 PokerStars players bought into the $109 edition of the Bounty Builder Series No-Limit Hold’em Main Event and created a guarantee-busting $1,249,000 prize pool. Half of that sum was dished out to the top 1,759 finishers, with the remaining 50% placed on the head of each entry in the form of a progressive bounty.

This Main Event ended in a three-way deal, which saw two of those deal makers win bounties worth five figures. Mexico-based star “FishOnHeater” officially finished in third place and banked $65,769; some $11,450 of that payout stemmed from bounties.

Brazilian “Guialves27” was the runner-up and recipient of $72,269, which left Vietnam’s “flowerloveeee” to be crowned the tournament’s worth champion, and they logged out of their PokerStars account with $90,021 more in it than a couple of days ago.
