Niklas “Lena900” Astedt Bags Two WCOOP Titles in 24 Hours

The 2026 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) has been running at PokerStars for a week, and some of online poker’s biggest names have wasted no time in reeling in titles and padding their bankrolls with substantial prizes.

One of those players, arguably the most recognizable online poker tournament grinder of all time, Niklas “Lena900” Astedt, won not one but two WCOOP titles in the space of 24 hours.

Astedt was one of 86 entrants in the $1,050 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and he was ultimately the last player standing.

Several WCOOP regulars advanced to the final table but fell short of glory. Tom “Tom_Poker_NL” Talboom, Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, and Benjamin “beastishngry” Juhasz busted between eighth and fourth place, before Ukraine’s “tweeme140” fell in third and sent the tournament into the heads-up stage.

Brazil’s Murilo “Fruble” Milhomem was tasked with stopping Astedt’s quest for his 13th title, but it was Astedt who came out on top. The superstar Swede banked $20,976 of the $86,000 prize pool and WCOOP title number 13.

WCOOP 21-H: $1,050 PLO Final Table Results

Twenty-four hours after taking down the $1,050 PLO event, Astedt became a 14-time WCOOP champion by taking down the $5,200 No-Limit Hold’em Thursday Thrill High Roller.

A compact yet star-studded field of 58 competed at the PokerStars virtual felt for the lion’s share of a $290,000 prize pool. As one would expect, the final table was littered with household names.

Gabriel “gtavares10” Tavares, Jamie “jamiedwan21” Dwan, Ilya “Leqenden” Anatsky, and Ole “wizowizo” Schemion bowed out one by one, but the final five were still stacked.

Spare a thought for “JustTrappedU”, one of only six players to record two runner-up finishes so far this WCOOP, but the only player not to have won a WCOOP title before. Joao “Naza114” Vieira (13), Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi (10), “Sintoras” (3), “Fruble (2) and “GeraldoCesar” (1) are the other four players.

Mexico-based “Tapiscalle?” fell in fifth, followed by Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot and “SerVlaMin.” Astedt then took on Joao “Naza114” Vieira heads-up in a clash of the titans, and Astedt came out on top.

With bounties included, Astedt collected $103,282, leaving Vieira to receive a $53,594 consolation prize.

Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi into WCOOP Top Ten All-Time With 10th Title

Brazilian ace Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi won his first WCOOP event in 2022. Four years later, he has 10 WCOOP titles to his name, enough for eighth place in the WCOOP top 10.

Bruschi’s latest victory on the biggest stage came in the $530 Wednesday Surprise, a high-stakes mystery bounty affair. He eventually found himself heads-up against Dmitry “yurasov1990” Yurasov, himself a three-time WCOOP winner. Bruschi got the job in the one-on-one battle and received $31,686 plus his tenth WCOOP title.

Two-Time EPT Online Champ Bergrstrom Wins Fourth WCOOP Title

Anton Bergstrom, the Swedish online star better-known as “WhatIfGod,” became a four-time WCOOP champion after triumphing in the $1,500 World Championship of Razz. The compact 45-player field meant only the top seven finishers collected some of the $45,000 prize pool.

The top two finishers won five-figure scores. Russia’s “Anton Marcus” fell at the final hurdle for $10,630, which left Bergstrom to scoop $17,197, and his fourth WCOOP gong to go with the pair of EPT Online titles the Swede has to his name.

Ole Schemion Claims Largest Prize of the 2026 WCOOP So Far

Forty players bought into the $10,300 NLHE PKO High Roller on the evening of September 13. A little under nine hours later, and Ole “wizowizo” Schemion emerged victoriously and with a huge $139,969 prize to show for his win.

Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr fired two bullets, but eighth was the deepest he went. “hello_totti” and “Jesper8” were the next players eliminated, the latter’s demise bursting the money bubble for the regular prize pool.

Jamie “jamiedwan21” Dwan fell in fifth for a combined $32,297, continuing the rich vein of form he’s enjoyed since his bracelet win in Las Vegas this summer.

Austria’s “Piranha_n1” and Gabriel “gtavares10” Tavares were the next stars relieved of their stacks. They took home $31,976 and $54,538, respectively.

Schemion and Jorge “jorginho88” Abreu locked horns heads-up, having both secured $63,719 from the regular prize pool. The final pair of progressive bounties were worth more than first place, so everything was still to play for.

It was Schemion who came out on top. He netted $139,969 while Abreu took home $87,469.
