Perry, Tollerene and Lingham Out as Davies Leads SHRB XI

Sean Perry

Controversial poker player Sean Perry won’t be getting his hands on the Super High Roller Bowl XI title after burning through two $100,000 bullets on Day 1 of the Las Vegas tournament.

The PokerGO Tour event allows players just one reentry, and Perry made full use of that second chance before joining Ben Tollerene and Vinny Lingham on the rail. All three have exhausted their entries and are officially out of contention.

There were 23 entries recorded on the opening day at the PokerGO Studio, with 12 players making it through to Day 2. Two-time Super High Roller Bowl champion Seth Davies leads the survivors, while Alex Foxen, who sent Perry packing, sits second in chips.

Perry’s $200K Tournament Comes to an End

Perry was among the 17 players who started Day 1 and initially appeared to be heading in the right direction. An early pot against Nick Petrangelo and Adrian Mateos saw him increase his 300,000 starting stack to 360,000, but things quickly went downhill.

By Level 4, Perry was down to just 23,000. Two double-ups through Kristen Foxen gave him some breathing room, but his recovery was short-lived. Perry eventually lost the remainder of his stack and decided to fire his one permitted reentry.

While Perry managed to find chips against Kristen, he had considerably less success against her husband, Alex.

A clash that saw Perry’s two pair lose to Foxen’s straight wiped out much of the progress he had made on his second bullet. The pair tangled again during the final level of the night, with Foxen getting the better of Perry once more.

Perry raised to 13,000 from the button with J♦9♠, and Foxen called from the small blind with 3♠3♦.

On the J♣7♠3♣ flop, Foxen checked his bottom set before raising Perry’s 10,000 continuation bet to 29,000. Perry called, and the 4♦ turn saw Foxen fire another 32,000, which Perry also called.

The 9♦ river gave Perry top two pair, but he was still well behind Foxen’s set. Foxen bet 150,000, enough to put Perry all-in for his remaining 114,000. Perry made the call, saw the bad news, and his second $100,000 entry was gone.

Perry wasn’t the only player to use up both chances. Tollerene and Lingham also exited twice on Day 1, while Nick Schulman, Jesse Lonis, Chris Hunichen, and Petrangelo were eliminated but still have the option to reenter before play resumes.

Davies Chasing Third Super High Roller Bowl Title

With Perry out of the picture, Davies is the man to catch after bagging 882,000 chips, good for 110 big blinds heading into Day 2.

Davies has already won two Super High Roller Bowl titles, both coming in 2024. His first was worth $3.2 million after he took down the $300,000 buy-in SHRB IX in Cyprus. Just two months later, he added another $1.5 million by winning the $100,000 PLO edition in Las Vegas.

A third title would put another major result on an already impressive high-stakes record, but there are plenty of familiar faces standing in his way.

Foxen, who is firmly in the conversation for the 2026 WSOP Player of the Year award, sits second with 768,000. Despite his extensive high roller success, Foxen has only cashed once in a Super High Roller Bowl, finishing runner-up to Isaac Haxton in 2018.

Defending champion Joao Simao is also still in the mix. The Brazilian, who finished second in this week’s PLO edition, returns with 548,000 chips and is looking to add to the more than $10 million he has collected in tournament winnings over the past few weeks.

Igor Yaroshevskyy, Talal Shakerchi, Jeremy Ausmus, and Jason Koon are among the other players who have advanced.
