PokerStars Releases the Full 2024 Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Schedule

The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) returns for its 11th year, with PokerStars unveiling five stops for the 2024 calendar. The 2024 PokerStars LAPT kicks off in mid-April in Panama City, with stops planned in Rio de Janeiro, Sau Paulo, Montevideo, and Mexico, the latter being a brand new addition to the LAPT’s locations.

Panama City is the first leg of the 2024 LAPT, taking place at the Hotel El Panama by Faranda Grand from April 19 through April 23. LAPT Panama City’s schedule features five events, all bought into and paid out in US dollars, including an eagerly anticipated $1,500 Main Event.

Online satellites for the LAPT Panama Main Event are already available at PokerStars, with a $215 buy-in LAPT Panama Mega Qualifier awarding at least 13 packages on April 3 at 01:00 a.m. GMT.

Each package awards its winner a $1,500 seat to the LAPT Panama Main Event and a five-night stay at the Hotel El Panama by Faranda Grand.

2024 Latin American Poker Tour Schedule

Once LAPT Panama City is done and dusted, players have a few months to wait before the next stop, but it will be worth the wait. PokerStars is keeping its cards close to its chest regarding the second leg, only revealing the LAPT is heading to Mexico in August. Watch this space.

From Mexico in August, the LAPT heads to Rio de Janeiro from October 9 before remaining in Brazil for the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) Millions from November 15-29. PokerStars is still putting the finishing touches to the BSOP Millions schedule; PokerNews will bring you the schedule in great detail once it is finalized.

Wrapping up what is bound to be another incredible year on the LAPT is a trip to Montevideo, Uruguay, from December 10-15.

2023 LAPT Main Event Results

Five events that fell under the LAPT banner took place in 2023. The 2023 LAPT kicked off in Brazil, where Anthony Ribeiro came out on top of a 557-strong crowd to claim an R$650,000 ($125,277) first-place prize.

Uruguay was the second leg of the 2023 tour. Tullio Juarez emerged victoriously and banked $80,000 for his efforts.

Leg 3 saw the LAPT head to Panama, where Markus Meekma outlasted 339 opponents as he claimed a top prize tipping the scales at $69,934.

The final two stops in 2023 were part of the popular BSOP. The BSOP Foz de Iguacu Main Event drew in 258 entrants, and Hugo Zanotti was the last player standing. His reward? R$330,000 ($63,991).

Lucas Rigos was the last player to walk away with a LAPT/BSOP Main Event title. He triumphed in the BSOP Millions Main Event, raking in a cool R$792,000 ($162,939) after the tournament attracted 771 entrants.
