A big poker series is heading to Texas next month.
To be specific, we’re talking about the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Golden Expedition at Champions Club Houston, one of the top poker clubs in the Lone Star State. The series features 11 RGPS ring events over seven days with $510,000 in guarantees. PokerNews will be in the house live reporting the Main Event.
Series Highlights
The series kicks off on Oct. 12 with the $400 Monster Stack Opener. This one is a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with $100,000 guaranteed right off the bat at Champions Club. Next up is the $300 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em with $10,000 guaranteed on Oct. 13.
There’s a little something for everyone on the schedule. While NLH is the main game being played, you’re also going to find a $300 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament on Oct. 15 with $30,000 in guaranteed prize money. There are many different types of NLH events, such as a Flip & Go, a Seniors event, a bounty event, a Monster Stack, and a Ladies Event.
The popular $400 PokerNews PowerStack, a $50,000 guaranteed tournament, is another RGPS staple. Oct. 14 is the start of the tournament with Flights A and B, and Day 2 will take place on Oct. 15. You’ll find traditional RGPS favorites on the schedule, including the $300 Black Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold’em on Oct. 15 ($30,000 guaranteed).
The top dog in this series, like any other RGPS series, is the $600 RunGood Main Event. Play begins Oct. 15 in this $250,000 guaranteed tournament with Flight A. That will be followed by Flights B and C on Oct. 16, and then Flights D and E on Oct. 17. All players who bag chips will return to action on Oct. 18 for the final session where the tournament will play down to a winner.
