The WSOP Circuit is expanding to new locations every month, and World Series of Poker’s secondary tour is truly becoming a world series.
Next month, the Circuit will head to Belgium for nine ring events at Casino Middelkerke Betfirst by Partouche. The action in Middelkerke, a quaint European town, starts Nov. 6 and runs through Nov. 15.
WSOP Circuit Series Highlights
Belgium has an extensive history of poker greatness, with many Belgian superstars over the years, including two-time WSOP Main Event final tablist Kenny Hallaert and bracelet winner Davidi Kitai.
There will be some skilled pros and recreational players who travel to Middelkerke to chase a coveted WSOPC ring. The first opportunity players will have to do that will be on Nov. 6 with the start of the €300 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main Event. This tournament has four Day 1 starting flights, and players can re-enter any session.
Eight of the nine events on the schedule are of the No-Limit Hold’em variety, but there is a €300 Omaha tournament on the final day of the series (Nov. 15). Although NLH is the game played in most events, there are different varieties of NLH, including a €550 Mystery Bounty (Nov. 8) and a €2,500 High Roller (Nov. 10), the largest buy-in tournament of the series.
But the biggest event of them all is the €1,500 Main Event, which kicks off Nov. 11. The Main Event features four Day 1 flights, with Day 2 scheduled for Nov. 14. Players will start with 50,000 chips, and the blinds will go up every 40 minutes.
