If you’re looking for a major poker tournament with a massive prize pool in Las Vegas next month, head to Venetian.
The World Poker Tour is hosting a $5,000 WPT Venetian Las Vegas Fall Championship starting Nov. 5 on the Strip, and the prize pool will reach at least $2,000,000. Big bucks and a spot in the WPT Champions Club will be up for grabs when some of the top mid-stakes tournament grinders and recreational players all converge on the Venetian, one of the top poker rooms in the country.
WPT Comes to Venetian
The WPT last visited Venetian during the summer when Nico Betbese beat 1,153 entrants to win $706,960. Nicholas Seward came out victorious for $418,700 in February at the Las Vegas poker room when he took down the WPT Venetian Las Vegas Spring Championship.
The action returns to Venetian starting Oct. 28 when the Fall series kicks off. There are daily events running through Nov. 15, including an $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with $500,000 guaranteed that kicks off Oct. 29.
The biggest event of them all is the $5,000 WPT Venetian Fall Championship, a four-day event beginning Nov. 5. There is a Day 1 starting flight each day through Nov. 7, and players can enter one or all three sessions. Those who bag chips will return to action Nov. 8 for Day 2, followed by Day 3 on Nov. 9, and the finale on Nov. 10, to be livestreamed on PokerGO.
After the Venetian Championship, the World Poker Tour will turn its focus to the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, which kicks off Nov. 27. That season-ending series includes the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship, $400 Super Gold Million ($3 million guaranteed), and the biggest World Poker Tour event of the year, the $10,400 WPT World Championship to close out the year.
