Pimp My Home Game, the newest initiative announced by World Poker Tour, is offering the opportunity for one lucky home game host to give their players quite the surprise when they next turn up for a night of poker.
The initiative, announced this week, could see any home game setup across the U.S receiving a massive upgrade, turning it from a standard or even makeshift, to top of the range, WPT quality.
What is the World Poker Tour?
The World Poker Tour is an international series of poker tournaments, that has been travelling the globe since 2002. Players from all over the world have been able to compete on every continent with a card room, with near-nonstop events year round. The upcoming stops of WPT Australia, WPT Prime Cyprus, WPT Prime Las Vegas, WPT Seoul and the WPT World Championship are set to round out an action-packed year.
Not only has the WPT been active at the tables, but they also became a massive name on the virtual felt following the arrival of WPT Global in April 2022. The online poker app has quickly become one of the world leaders, with the sweepscoins-based system offering both cash games and tournament poker.
Pimp My Home Game
As they so often do, World Poker Tour have unveiled yet another incredible competition for poker players, this time aimed at home game hosts looking to upgrade. Looking for the worst setup out there, WPT has pledged a whopping $20,000 upgrade for the fixer-upper that is the most in need of a revamp.
But what’s the catch? Unbelievably, there isn’t one! There are three simple steps to apply, and to be in consideration for the makeover.
First, all participants must take a short video to show off the (preferably chaotic) state of affairs at the game, and explain why they deserve the cash injection to set up a new one. There is a short form to fill out alongside the video, and the final step is to make sure you beat the deadline! Final submissions are due in by September 22, so get those videos ready!
Competition Rules
There are a small number of terms and conditions alongside the competition, that must be considered before sending in any applications.
- Players must be poker game hosts, over the age of 18, and residing in the United States
- All entrants must send a video that accurately depicts their home game setup, as well as filling in a form with their details.
- A panel will judge based on three criteria: story, creativity, and current setup. Finalists will be featured by WPT
- There will only be one winner, receiving the full makeover worth up to $20,000.
