Two more bracelets were awarded yesterday. Shaun Deeb won Event #53: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed) for $1,251,860, defeating Ka Kwan Lau heads up. Deeb also won this same tournament in 2018. He is now 4th on player of the year rankings. Elsewhere Nicholas Julia won Event #54: $2,500 Nine Game Mix 6-Handed . He overcame a field of 319, including Kristan Lord heads-up.
Moving on to today, only 19 remain in the Event #56: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Championship, and it is Bulgaria’s Boris Kolev who currently leads. Play resumes at 2p.m. today. Sixteen are left in Event #52: $1,000 SENIORS No-Limit Hold’em Championship. Christopher Cummings bagged the overnight chip lead. Play resumed at 10 a.m. Day 1a combined with Day 1b of Event #55: $400 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em attracted a colossal 9,399 entrants. The remaining players also returned this morning at 10a.m. for day 2. After Day 1, Danny Wong is the chip leader in Event #57: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship. Late registration closes at the beginning of Day 2 today at 2p.m.
Today at 10a.m. Event #58: $1,000 SUPER SENIORS No-Limit Hold’em kicked off, while later at 2p.m. we will see Event #59: TAG TEAM No-Limit Hold’em take place. At 3p.m. we will see one of the most prestigious WSOP events – Event #60: Poker Players Championship 6-Handed, while at 5.30p.m. on WSOP.com, cards will be dealt for the Online Event #6: $600 WSOP.com Online Bracelet.
