WSOP Partners With Solana for Crypto Buy-Ins and Payouts

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the World Series of Poker has unveiled the Solana Foundation as the official Presenting Sponsor for both the 2026 WSOP in Las Vegas and the 2026 WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas.

For the first time in WSOP history, players can also now buy into tournament tickets directly using cryptocurrency.

Zero-Fee Buy-Ins Live in Las Vegas

The announcement comes two weeks into this year’s WSOP, currently underway at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas.

The partnership now allows players to purchase tournament tickets with Solana using MoonPay’s payment infrastructure. The new payment method comes with zero processing fees, eliminating the inconvenience of moving large sums of money for tournament buy-ins.

Using the WSOP LIVE app, players could already skip lines for the cage, but now they are able to utilize cryptocurrency to pay for their buy-ins, while increasing accessibility for international players.

The partnership is set to expand even further when the WSOP heads to The Bahamas this December for WSOP Paradise.

International tournament winners will have the option to receive their prize settlements in stablecoins on Solana. According to the WSOP, this feature promises “near-instant access” to payouts.

“Solana’s speed and efficiency mirror the fast-paced energy of our tournaments, and we are excited to showcase their technology to our global audience,” said Ty Stewart, CEO of WSOP.

Beyond the registration desk, players and fans will see Solana’s presence throughout the summer and winter series. The Solana Foundation has said it will select a group of prominent poker pros to serve as official Solana ecosystem ambassadors, and will host premier, exclusive events for the Solana community at Paris/Horseshoe Las Vegas and in The Bahamas.

In the press release, it was also stated that WSOP and Solana are actively developing collaborative, onchain poker products to be released in the near future.
